호주에서 보건의료교육 분야의 연구 우선순위를 조사하였다.

가장 우선순위가 높은 세 가지는 아래와 같다.
(1) 학생들이 업무에 필요한 기술을 개발할 수 있는 최선의 방법의 이해
understanding how best to ensure students develop the required skills for work;
(2) 학생의 회복탄력성과 웰빙을 촉진하는 방법의 이해
understanding how to promote resiliency and well-being in students; and
(3) 커리큘럼의 합목적성 확인
ensuring the curriculum is fit for purpose

연구 분야를 군집화하면 다음과 같다.
(i) 직장에서 함께 배우는 문화 Culture of learning together in the workplace;
(ii) 직업work 준비 Preparation for work;
(iii) 미래의 호주 의료 요구 충족 Meeting future Australian healthcare needs;
(iv) 교육학적 효과 Pedagogical effectiveness;
(v) 인력 문제 Workforce issues;
(vi) 커리큘럼 통합 Curriculum integration.
